The size of the sample is 10 cm (4 inches). I am using a 100% mercerised cotton thread (Scheepjes Maxi, col. 750 - donkerrood, 100 g = 560 m) and 2 mm size hook (although recommended size is 1.25-1.5 mm, US 6-10). A 100 g ball translated into 32 ready elements. So far, I have used 300 g and I have got 96 elements.
